VoiceLedger Support

Help with recordings, transcripts and meeting notes.

1. Where are my recordings?

Recordings and indexes are stored on your device by default. If you choose iCloud storage, the app mirrors recording files to your iCloud account. Keep your own exported backup of important recordings.

2. Why is transcription unavailable?

Check microphone and Speech permissions, available device storage, the chosen language and the system's speech resources. Supported capabilities depend on your device and OS. The app does not silently switch from on-device to cloud processing.

3. How do I use cloud notes?

Select cloud processing in Settings, read and accept the disclosure, then generate notes from an existing transcript. Internet access and available cloud allowance are required.

4. How do cloud hours work?

Eligible users receive one lifetime 2-hour allowance. Six-hour packs accumulate. Monthly plans provide 40 hours per billing period without rollover. Reinstalling does not reset the trial. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

5. How can I share notes?

Open a recording, select Minutes, then Share Minutes. You can copy the text or export PDF and Markdown. This shares the selected notes without the original recording or transcript.

6. Why is my Watch recording waiting?

Bring the paired iPhone within reach and open VoiceLedger. You can retry the transfer on the watch. Keep the watch copy until the phone confirms receipt.

7. How do I delete content or request data deletion?

Move recordings to Recently Deleted, then permanently delete them there. Items are normally recoverable for 30 days. iCloud deletion can wait for connectivity; manage Watch copies and exports separately. Cloud purchase and usage records are separate from local recordings. Email us to request access or deletion, or read the privacy policy for details.
